You can’t solve a problem until you can define the problem. At the Literacy Lift, the underlying causes of reading problems are identified. Then, focused instruction is implemented to address specific learning needs.


Find

The core essence of a reading problem can often be masked. Tutoring sessions include ongoing work to:

  • Identify reading difficulties often not diagnosed in standardized tests or psychological testing.

  • Discover the core, or fundamental basis of reading and writing problems, rather than
    surface symptoms.

  • Perform ongoing, in-depth analysis of the child’s evolving reading performance.



Fix

Finding and fixing is a process of discovery and instruction leading to new abilities and new confidence for your child. Tutoring services include:

  • Precision instruction that targets the core issues.

  • Individualized instruction designed uniquely for each student.

  • Implementation of specialized reading programs.
